This piece was inspired by a story I heard, about how people used to eat seeds right before they died so they could give their body back to nature and create new life after their death. I wasn't sure whether this was true or not but I loved the idea that new life can come from death. I chose to depict the trees as human bodies to represent this life and where it came from.
